Blogger Comments Question

A quick question for those in the blogger know: I used to end up with comments emailed to me, but in the past couple days, there have been comments, but no emails. I even tried commenting myself but got no email.

Any ideas?

(Nope, I didn't change settings.)

  1. This has happened to me a couple of times...and then suddenly just resolved itself, sending me the accumulated comments. It was as if the system had backed up. Maybe give yourself another day or so and see if that happens.

  2. Sometimes Blogger's emails get caught by my spam catcher--with no rhyme or reason. Maybe yours are in your Junk folder?

  3. Follow-up: I think it's being caught by your institutional spam-catcher. I got this email just now, a non-delivery error message:

host XXX.XXXX.edu[XXX.XX.X.XXX] said: 550 5.7.1 Email rejected because the IMF score was too high (in reply to end of DATA command)

(I've replaced the identifying info with X's). Don't know what "IMF score" means but I think it's probably spam-related. You might try white-listing Blogger's email address.

  4. I've learned that most blogger stuff comes into my "junk" box, so that's where I expect it these days.

Heironimo's latest came through, and then I decided to mostly empty out that box, so maybe that will help?

Thanks for using the X's H!

Blogger has HTML tantrums now and again. They usually right themselves.

I did enjoy the post about Ethelred. A wearily familiar story. You say, "Go figure." Maybe, but it is probably better to leave the mindset of those advising students as one of life's mysteries.
