And it's a third edition in the rental system, but now the fourth edition is out, so the publisher won't send you a third edition desk copy.
Maybe it's at home, right?
I know that feeling! I'm trying to locate a textbook I used in a class last fall because I'm using it again in the same class this fall. There are only so many places where it could be and it's not in any of them. This is making my brain hurt!
