More Lit

(Does it help if I acknowledge that this isn't early modern?)

(Maybe if I redid the speech thing to say, "Meine begriffsstutzig Kindern!"?)

  1. Uh, would that be one of the hollow pampered jades of Asia? Otherwise, I got nothing.

  2. Oh, wait, not early modern? Never mind...

  3. I have no idea what this is. But last week I was teaching Donne's Holy Sonnet 14--"Batter my heart" &c.--and dude, I am *so* not drawing that sucker.

  4. OOh, I got that it was Mother Courage even without the speech hint!

BTW, I think this is your best stick-figure interpretation of pathos yet!

  5. Fretful, Yeah, not early modern... I wanted to change it up a tad.

Heu, Oh, I'll have to think about that one! I LOVE that poem! I've got a GREAT idea for "At the round earth's imagined corners..."!

Sisyphus, That's the nicest thing anyone's said about me in weeks! Thanks :)

  6. heu mihi, I did a modern imitation of Batter My Heart once. If I wasn't a very nice professor, I would share it with the class.
