Just another academic blogger
Well, it's either "The Passionate Shepherd to His Love" or possibly "Carmen Miranda Among the Giant Tortoises of the Galapagos."
I'm unfamiliar with the Carmen Miranda poem, but I'm definitely going to seek it out because it sounds GREAT!
I made it up, sorry! I was just thinking about OTHER ways one might possibly interpret that image!
Now you have to write that poem, because I want to read it, too.
I agree! You HAVE to write the poem now, Fretful! (I was pretty sure it was made up, but what a GREAT title! It deserves a poem to go with it, you know?)
I was going to say Passionate Shepherd, too. :)
I taught it today, along with Raleigh's reply. What good poems! (We're learning about persona, can you tell. "The Flea" is up next!)
